In 2006 Australian born designer Mia Paul launched Qotau, a leather label renowned for its lethal, sexy silhouette. Garments were masterfully structured with opulent details that were intricate and devious. Qotau was a punk/geisha/spiritual warrior on the outside and a rock’n’roll fantasy on the inside: selling out in stores with a week of arrival.

Mia Paul has spent her life exploring the increasing elasticity between Art Fashion, Film, Photography + Design; attracting an eclectic composite of artistic opportunities to keep redefining herself.

In 2010 Mia launches a new label + Mia Paul. “When I travelled through India I was captivated by the lavish silk + jerseys. A palate of Spice and flesh is reflected in the táctile figure of the ‘dark angel’ that is Mia Paul’s muse. Pear white, burnt orange, raw sienna are organically hand painted on the blazing roofs of India. Dull gold and antique silver beads are distinctively adapted to bring the tradition of Indian beading into the modern world.
