Designer Gina Kim was born in Seoul, Korea where she aspired to be a pianist before pursuing her love of fashion after arriving in Australia.

Gina launched her now award winning label Gina Kim in 2005 and has been gaining a solid reputation both nationally and internationally, designing for Miss World Australia 2004, Miss Global international 2005 and worn by myriad of celebrities. Gina Kim was also one of the Australian labels showcased in Dubai recently and at G’day USA Week in New York.

Gina incorporates innovative textiles with commercial appeal into her designs to create glamourous evening ear and modern daywear.

Her latest Spring Summer 2009/10 collection (shown at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week) "Call and Response" is inspired by 80s modern pop. Gina uses a contrasting colour palette of white, silver, black and orange with metallic/lame and soft jersey/georgette fabrics. The result is a refined 80s look with modern, clean lines providing a fresh, simple and confident way of dressing.
